What Is the FMM Form?
The FMM is a short-term entry permit issued by INM (Instituto Nacional de Migración) that allows U.S. and Canadian citizens to visit Mexico as tourists, including for dental care.

No. If you’re visiting only for the day and staying within Los Algodones, you do not need to fill out the FMM. The form is only required for longer stays.
The FMM is required if you plan to stay in Mexico for more than 7 days. For visits 7 days or less, it’s typically free. If you’re unsure, it’s always best to complete it ahead of time just in case.
If you qualify for the FMM and didn’t print it, you may still be able to fill it out at the border, but it could delay your entry. Our team at Innova can help guide you if needed.
